Erratic Gunman Brings SWAT Team, Police Presence To I-95 In Philadelphia: Cops
An armed man behaving erratically with a handgun stopped traffic along I-95 in Philadelphia Friday morning, Nov. 3, city police said.
Just before 8:30 a.m., a Philadelphia police officer tried stopping a vehicle driving erratically near the Girard Avenue exit on the southbound side, police said.
Another officer arrived for backup as the man drew his semiautomatic handgun and placed it to his own head, police said.
SWAT and Crisis Intervention Trained (CIT) Officers arrived on the scene, closing the highway in both directions.

A 34-year-old New Jersey man has been charged with murder and related offenses in the stabbing deaths of his parents, authorities said.
Police responding to a Lincoln Avenue home around 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, noticed blood on the door of the home and a man, later identified as Michael Mulgrew, walking away, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

A 20-year-old Pennsylvania driver was speeding well above the limit and was high on marijuana when he struck another vehicle, killing a grandmother and wounding her 7-year-old granddaughter, authorities said.
Logan Dierkes, of Hatfield, was heading west on Mininger Road in Franconia Twp. at approximately 84 mph — possibly above 90 mph — in a 35 mph zone, in a 2008 Dodge Charger while Paula Wilson, of Bethlehem, was pulling out of a driveway around 5:35 p.m. on Sept. 14, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. A Maryland man has been arrested in the February shooting of a young man in Virginia, police announced.
Hector Adonis Regaldo Landaverde, 22, of Oxen Hill, MD, is accused of firing the shots that struck a 24-year-old man on the 14700 block of Darbydale Avenue in Woodbridge on Feb. 6, Prince William County police said.
