Though, they added, she was not infectious during her travels and has quarantined since returning home. She is safe.  Earlier, Virginia state police issued a statewide alert to find her because they believed she was in serious danger.  Smith, 68, left her home in Virginia Beach at 3 a.m. Thursday, May 26. She suffers cognitive impairments, which searchers feared posed a serious threat to her health and safety.  Police located her just before 1 p.m.

Manassas Gunman Shoots Cars, Homes: Report A gunman fired bullets into multiple cars and apartments in Manassas earlier this week, police said.  The incident began at about 9 p.m. Tuesday when a caller reported a fight in a parking lot in the 10300 block of Seventh Regiment Drive, a police report said.
