Wood-Ridge Train Station To Reopen In May WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- NJ Transit will open the Westmont train station in Wood-Ridge on Sunday, May 15, according to NorthJersey.com. The station was originally slated to open in 2011 but experienced several delays. West Milford Constructs New Library WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Construction on the new West Milford Township Library is now underway. The steel skeleton of the new library that will provide approximately 11,000 additional square feet than the current building.  Construction began in earnest in October of last year and crews hope to have the structure completed by early November.  Officials hope to transition into the new building in early 2017.

Hawthorne Mayor: $21 Million Budget Has No Surprises HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Hawthorne's $21 million spending plan will constitute a $42 bump in tax payments for the average property owner, according to NorthJersey.com. Causes for the increase come largely from the increase in price for services like garbage and recycling, funding pensions for police and firefighters and a reduction of the borough's taxable real estate value.
