A $50 donation includes a buffet-style dinner and open bar from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Tommy Barnes, Steven Wesley and Scott DeCarlo. The department is also selling 50/50 raffle tickets to support the Unity Tour for $25 a piece. Rutherford Organizes Preschool Meet & Greet RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rutherford Schools will host a pre-school meet and greet at Lincoln Elementary School on Friday, April 8. The program will let kids and parents meet teachers, tour the school and learn more about the new program.  Meet and greets will be held at 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. for 3-year-olds and again at 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Meetings for 4-year-olds will be held from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.  Lincoln Elementary School is located at 414 Montross Ave.

Ridgefield Park Students Exhibit Biliteracy RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- Ridgefield Park's pilot biliteracy program continues to pick up steam with eight students slated to receive the honor at graduation in June, according to NorthJersey.com. The biliteracy program began last year with only three students showing the requisite proficiency in reading and writing in two languages. Bergen Catholic Students Shave Heads, Raise Money For Pediatric Cancer PARAMUS, N.J. -- The Crusaders Against Cancer from Bergen Catholic in Oradell partnered with the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money for pediatric cancer research.Students, staff and alumni volunteered to have their heads shaved or hair cut on campus on St. Patrick's Day. This year, over $7,000 was raised by BC students for cancer research.
