Lodi To Rent Out VFW Hall LODI, N.J. -- The Borough of Lodi entered into an agreement to rent out the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall for various events, according to NorthJersey.com. The borough will use the hall to hold programs for seniors, veterans as well as recreation programs, NorthJersey.com reported. The agreement states the borough will lease the hall, located at 163 Union St. for $1,000 a month, NorthJersey.com said.

Stratford Police Charge 'White Sock' Robber With Rape STRATFORD, Conn. -- Stratford Police charged a Milford man Friday with a raping a woman on the town boat launch, according to the Connecticut Post website. Christopher Walsh, 32, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint and held on $300,000 bond, CTPost.com reported.  Walsh served six years in prison for holding up victims in hotels in Stratford and Trumbull while wearing a white sock on his right hand, CTPost.com said.  Click here to read the full article.

Volunteers Rebuild Hackensack Homes Impacted By Superstorm Sandy HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County will host a team of volunteers on its Sandy Restoration job site in Hackensack on Tuesday, Dec. 1 as part of Giving Tuesday.Volunteers will continue a tradition started in 2013 to help repair, rebuild and restore homes destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Since the program began, Habitat Bergen has completed 58 critical home repairs.
