Blood Tests May Reveal Cancer, Research Finds PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- New research shows blood testing can help identify potential markers of cancer in mothers, according to CBS News.  The study, performed by Tufts Medical Center, studied eight pregnant women with abnormal blood testing results and published the findings in  the Journal of the American Medical Association, CBS News reported.  If cancer is present, it will shed DNA into the mother's blood creating the imbalance in some prenatal blood tests, CBS News said.  Click here to read the full article.

Putnam County Will See New Round Of Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Heavy rain and possible thunderstorms will threaten Putnam County throughout Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.  Rain and potential thunderstorms will move through the area for most of the day until about 5 p.m. with a high temperature of 81 degrees. Chance of rain is 60 percent.  Sun will return on Thursday and Friday with highs in the low 80s.  Isolated showers could hit the area on Saturday afternoon with highs around 82 degrees.  Sunday will be partly sunny with a high of 86 and a chance of isolated showers.
