Rainy Weekend Expected In Putnam PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Increasing clouds overnight into Saturday will lead to a soggy weekend in Putnam County, according to the National Weather Service.  Showers and thunderstorms will be likely on Saturday afternoon with possible thunderstorms after 2 p.m. High temperatures will only reach into the mid-60s. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Sunday will be more of the same with a 60 percent chance of showers, but slightly warmer with a high around 76.  Sun will return on Monday with a high of 77.
