Hackensack Council Proposes $23 Million In Infrastructure Projects HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Hackensack City Council is proposing four infrastructure projects that would cost roughly $23 million, according to NorthJersey.com. The proposed projects include: converting Main and State streets for two-way traffic, a new sports center at Johnson Park, various road improvements and an upgrade and renovation project to a city recreation center, NorthJersey.com reported.  The projects would add approximately $19 million to the city's debt, but officials say it would not increase taxes, NorthJersey.com said.  Click here to read the NorthJersey.com article.

Hasbrouck Heights Organizes 3rd Annual 5K Run & Walk HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- The Hasbrouck Heights Board of Health will sponsor the third annual 5K run, walk and 1-mile fun run on Sunday, April 24.The run will benefit senior scholarships to town residents, the Junior Woman's Club, and Canine companions.  The race will begin and end at Borough Hall. West Milford Players Get Fencing Coaching For Upcoming Show WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Cast members of the West Milford Players got fencing lessons at the Hillcrest Community Center recently for their upcoming presentation of "The Three Musketeers."The production boasts  a cast of twenty-four men, women and children in historic dress, and seven sword fights. Performances will be held from May 13 through May 22.  The production will help benefit the Friends of Wallisch Homestead, a 200-year-old farm which is home to 100 acres of nature trails, and holds promise to become a cultural, recreational and educational center for the community.

Allendale Police Reminds Businesses, Residents To Register Alarms ALLENDALE, N.J. -- Residents and business owners in Allendale are reminded to register their alarm with the police department on an annual basis.  The registration fee is $25 and can be paid via check or money order made out to the Allendale Police Department.  Click here to download the registration form.  Once completed the registration form can be mailed to 290 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, NJ 07401. The penalty for failing to register an alarm can be as much as $1,000.
