Fair Lawn Volunteer Fire Department Stages Pet Adoption, Holiday Showcase FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Fair Lawn Fire Company 2 will host a holiday vendor showcase and pet rescue on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the corner of Elm Street and Harristown Rd.Vendors will include AJ's Creations, make up from Mary Kay and more. 14 Dead, 17 Injured In California Mass Shooting This story has been updated. At least 14 people have been killed and 17 injured in a mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., on Wednesday. Authorities said there were three shooters involved in the incident wearing tactical gear, "as if they were on a mission." A black SUV that may have been used by the suspects was cornered in a street two miles from the incident. KABC reported at 6:45 p.m. that two suspects were either killed or in custody. Old Tappan Will Light A Tree For The Holiday Season OLD TAPPAN, N.J. -- Trinity Reformed Church in Old Tappan will have its annual Christmas tree lighting Sunday, Dec. 6.Residents are invited to sing Christmas carols as the tree is lighted. Ridgewood Elks, Antlers Honor Veterans RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Ridgewood Elks and Antlers united for two special projects to honor veterans recently. Members of Teen Antler Lodge No. 26 sent Christmas cards to local veterans facilities, to Walter Reed, and to service members overseas. In addition, the lodge is paying tribute to New Jersey Fallen Heroes by designating a Christmas Tree in their honor, a "Freedom Tree," as suggested by the Elks Army of Hope Committee.
