Mount Pleasant Library Closing For Carpet Installation MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Both branches of the Mount Pleasant Library will close for installation of new carpet in the coming weeks.  The Main Library, located at 350 Bedford Road in Pleasantville, will close on April 6 and is scheduled to reopen on April 13.  Hours at the Branch Library will be extended while the Main Library is closed. All storytimes held at the Main Library will take place at the Branch Library. Honda Unveils New Civic At New York Auto Show WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Honda Motor company turned heads at the New York Auto Show when it unveiled the concept for its new, 10th-generation Civic Wednesday, according to USA Today.  Honda executives said the drastic redesign came as sales of the compact car remained in steady decline. McDonald's Raises Wages For Employees WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- McDonald's announced it will raise wages for workers at all 1,500 of company-owned eateries to $1 more than the local prevailing minimum wage, according to Business Insider.  The fast-food giant also said it will start offering five days paid vacation to employees of company-owned stores who have accrued more than one year of service, Business Insider reported.  The wage increases and paid time off only apply to company-owned restaurants.
