Missing Teen Located In Northern Westchester

Hours after a statewide alert was issued Tuesday for a 17-year-old Verplanck runaway who was believed to have been seen in a BMW, the teen turned herself into police, state police said Wednesday morning.
Samantha Lucero, who was first reported missing in June 2016, and again in January, called the Ossining police dispatch around 6:45 p.m.Tuesday and provided her location, according to Trooper Melissa McMorris, spokeswoman for the New York State Police.
Police, who picked up Lucero and returned the teen to her parents, said she was in good health, she added.

Haverstraw Man, 20, Charged With Stealing Boss's Credit Card In Stony Point
STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A Haverstraw man was arrested Friday, Jan. 27 for stealing, and then charging more than $800 on his former boss's credit card, according to the Stony Point Police.
Eric Lopez, 20, was charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property following an investigation by the Stony Point Police Detective Bureau that revealed he had stolen the card when he resigned from Eastern State Tire in Stony Point, said Lt. Keith Williams.
Lopez used the credit card 20 times, charging $834.87 worth of gas, Williams said.

Armonk Road Connection, Major Traffic Connector, Will Close For One Week
Commuters get ready for slowdowns and major congestion when the northbound Armonk Road Connection closes for a week beginning Saturday, Feb. 18, Westchester County highway officials said.
The roadway, which links Route 22 with the Bronx River Parkway (Kensico Circle) and the Taconic State Parkway, will be closed to make repairs to the overhead bridge, officials added.
