Chimney Fire Leaves Residence Blackened In Dobbs Ferry A fire that originated in a chimney left a Westchester residence with significant damage, including gaping holes in its walls.  The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 2 around 6:40 p.m. in Dobbs Ferry on Hunters Run. According to the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department, arriving crews responding to a reported chimney fire were able to quickly extinguish the blaze before checking for any extension of the fire. Lane Closures: Sprain Brook Parkway In Mount Pleasant To Be Affected For Week A series of lane closures will snag traffic on a parkway in Northern Westchester for a week, officials announced.  Single- and double-lane closures will begin in both directions on the Sprain Brook Parkway between the Taconic State Parkway and Interstate 287 in Mount Pleasant on Friday, Nov. 3, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The closures will be put into place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays through Friday, Nov. 10, officials added.  The lane closures will give crews the opportunity to perform roadway work.

Drunk Driver Nabbed After Leaving Scene Of Crash In Yorktown: Police A 46-year-old man faces drunk driving charges after allegedly leaving the scene of a crash in Northern Westchester, police said.
