Fire Threatens Animals At Nature Preserve In Ossining A late-day blaze at a nature reservation in Northern Westchester posed a threat to several animals housed in the building before it was put out.  The fire happened during the evening of Wednesday, June 7 at the Teatown Lake Reservation in Ossining, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  An original report of smoke in the building led to crews responding to a building on the reservation.
