Montrose Singer Finds Inspiration From Hudson River WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- One of the highlights -- so far -- of Heather LaRose's singing career was performing at a Hillary Clinton rally in New York City. The 23-year-old singer/songwriter, who grew up in Montrose and graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School, said she began writing songs when she was in fifth grade. Villaggio's Restaurant In Hartsdale Keeps Things 'All In The Family' HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- Villaggio Italiano Restaurant, a long-time family-run eatery now has another family in charge. Robyn and Danny Santiago, who met while working at the Hartsdale restaurant -- she as a bartender and waitress and he as a busboy who eventually moved up the line to waiter and cook -- took over the neighborhood fixture in Sept. 2015 after the original owners decided to sell. Perseverance Pays Off For Mohegan Lake 14-Year-Old, Founder Of ThinkSteam MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. -- In less than a year, 14-year-old Lakeland High School student Jothi Ramaswamy has gotten close to 120K annually in advertising grants from Google for an organization she started to raise STEM [science, technology, engineering and mathematics] awareness in girls through the arts.
