Stafford Family's Dazzling Christmas Display Pays Homage To Shuttered Season Staple (Photos)
No Christmas season from the 1980s through the 2000s was ever complete for the Silvrants family without a trip to Ho Ho Ho Land in Fredericksburg.
The Cranes Corner Road homeowner, an auto mechanic, hung thousands of Christmas lights, played music, and made dozens of his own moving, wooden cutouts (see video here).
And each year, people would turn out in droves to see the display.
"It was phenomenal, it was amazing," said Jackie Silvrants, of Stafford. "Those of us who grew up here love and remember it with great fondness."

Man Fatally Beats Ex-GF Dead In NJ Home: Prosecutor
A New Jersey man named Kevin Bacon has been arrested after police say he beat his ex-girlfriend to death.
April Duncza, 39, was found during a welfare check at a home on Paul Street in the Fords section of Woodbridge with serious head trauma around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
Duncza was pronounced deceased at the scene, and her ex-boyfriend, Kevin Bacon, 46, of Keansburg, was identified as a suspect, Ciccone said alongside Woodbridge Police Director Robert Hubner.

A man who racked up a $20,000 bill just in the property he destroyed at fast food restaurants across Loudoun County is in custody, authorities said.
Reyan H. Ibrahim's night of destruction began around 8:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the McDonald's at the Ashburn Shopping Plaza, when he destroyed an electronic menu board in the drive-thru lane, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
At dawn, Ibrahim moved on to the Sheetz on Windmill Parc Drive in Sterling, where he broke a bottle of wine, and hit the front door entrance with a wrench, causing it to shatter, police said.

Victim Confronts NJ Teacher 12 Years After Sexual, Romantic Relationship: Affidavit
At 26 years old, a woman is confronting her former New Jersey teacher who is accused of sexually abusing her 12 years ago, court documents show.
Now, the same age as her abuser when they began a relationship, the victim told now-38-year-old Lydia Pinto this month she could never fathom doing what she did: Engage in a relationship with someone 14 or 15 years old, according to the affidavit obtained by Daily Voice.
Pinto, of Newton, PA, was charged earlier this month with sexually abusing a former student.
