Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Lakewood PD: Liquor Store Customer Denied Cigarettes Coughs, Claims He Has Coronavirus Police arrested a Lakewood man who they said deliberately coughed inside a liquor store and claimed he had coronavirus after the clerk refused to sell him cigarettes. Officers responding to an emergency call from the Pine Cone Liquor Store on Second Street caught up to Juan Gomez Sanchez, 25, and asked whether he needed medical help, police said.  They charged him with disorderly conduct after concluding that he concocted the story, they said.

Video: Pickup Plunges Into Monmouth Reservoir A pickup truck had to be pulled from a Monmouth County reservoir on Thursday. Two occupants from Toms River escaped without injury after the truck fell into the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell Township during a boat launch, police said. The Squankum Fire Dive Team secured straps so Certified Auto could tow it out. For some reason, the driver put the pickup into reverse after the boat was in the water, sending it into the drink, as well, township police wrote in a Facebook post.
