$1M Lottery Winner: Lynn Man Lands Major Payday A Lynn man recently won $1 million playing the Massachusetts State Lottery.  Camilo Bamaca Pojoy won the seven-figure prize playing the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” scratch-off game.  Bamaca Pojoy chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  He bought the winning ticket at Hines Liquors at 518 Western Ave. in Lynn. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

Billerica Woman ID'd As Person Killed In NH Snowmobile Crash A 56-year-old Middlesex County woman was identified as the person who was killed in a snowmobile crash in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Jan. 23.  Stacey McGarry, of Billerica, was piloting the rented craft on Corridor 12 in the town of Berlin, New Hampshire, when she failed to make a right turn, hit a large rock, and was sent airborne, New Hampshire officials said. Sex Offender Admits To Child Porn Charges In Western Mass: Feds A Berkshire County registered sex offender has pleaded guilty to child porn and weapons charges, federal authorities said.  Brian Hohman, 60, of Sandisfield, admitted to one charge of possession of child pornography and one charge of receipt and possession of an unregistered firearm on Wednesday, Jan. 24, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. 'Another Beautiful Soul Gone': Family, Friends Remember 19-Year-Old Gunned Down In Springfield As news spreads about the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old Springfield woman, memorials have flooded social media for her.  Isabel Alcaide was gunned down around 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, in the 0-100 block of Stevenson Street, Springfield police said.
