Mayor Praises Cliffside Park's Crime Watch CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Cliffside Park Mayor Thomas Calabrese visited a meeting of the local Neighborhood Crime watch program recently. The meeting had more than 50 residents, making it the largest crime watch program in New Jersey. Calabrese applauded the residents for their commitment to the community.

Photos: Frisch Students Donate Hair To Charity PARAMUS, N.J. -- Six students from the Frisch School in Paramus donated their hair to Hair4Wigs - Zichron Menachem at Lillian Lee Salon in Teaneck. Zichron Menachem is an Israeli organization that collects hair donations to make custom wigs for children suffering from cancer and ill effects from its treatment, including hair loss. Salon owner Lillian Lee creates and repurposes high-quality wigs to give to cancer patients.

Bergen County Repaves Glen Rock's Harristown Road GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Harristown Road will be repaved by the County the week of April 11 through April 15. The project will begin at Ackerman Avenue and proceed down Harristown Road, across Maple Avenue and end at Thornbury Avenue. Crews will begin work at 7 a.m. and finish around 5 p.m. Residents who need access to their vehicle at all times should consider parking on a side street. Overnight parking rules will also be suspended for the week. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while work is being completed.

Waldwick Soccer Opens Fall Registration WALDWICK, N.J. -- The Waldwick Soccer Association has opened registration for the 2016 fall season.The fall season is open for kids in grades K-12. Northern Valley School District Looks To Improve Virtual School Days DEMAREST, N.J. -- Northern Valley Regional High School officials are looking for ways to improve its virtual school day program, according to NorthJersey.com. The district held a pilot virtual day on Feb. 29. Students used laptops while faculty proctored the classroom, NorthJersey.com reported.
