Demarest Music Students Take Home Awards At Chicago's Heritage Festival DEMAREST, N.J. -- Students from Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest took home awards at the Hertiage Festival in Chicago, Ill. between March 31 and April 3. The Chamber Orchestra, the Bel Canto Women's Choir and the Sophomore Women's Choir all took home gold medals for their performances.  The Windy Symphony and the Concert Choir were awarded silver medals.  The Chamber Orchestra received an Adjudicator's Award for receiving a score of 93 or above. Midland Park Offers Free Rabies Vaccinations MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- The Midland Park Board of Health is offering free rabies vaccinations on Monday May 9 at the Municipal Building.  Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers; both dogs and cats are welcomed at any time. No retractable leashes can be used. Rabies vaccinations are required by the New Jersey Department of Health for all dogs and cats four months of age and older. Vaccinations will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The Municipal Building is located at 280 Godwin Ave.
