Vera (Mulligan) Lynch, 98, Fair Lawn Resident FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Vera (Mulligan) Lynch of Fair Lawn died on Monday, Dec. 21. She was 98. Born and raised in New York City, she resided in the Bronx before moving to Fair Lawn 57 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn. Bedford Hills' Atlantic Westchester Gets Green Business Certification BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- Bedford Hills-based Atlantic Westchester and SunBlue Energy were honored with Green Business-Certification at joint ceremony on Dec. 17. OpEd: Ossining School Officials Urge State To Help With Education Funding OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Ossining Board of Education unanimously adopted a resolution at its Dec. 16 meeting asking New York state officials to significantly increase funding for the 2016-17 school year so the district receives its fair share of education aid.Slight increases in state school aid in the past two years have not made up for drastic funding cuts in previous years. Englewood Cliffs Girl Scout Goes For Gold ENGLEWOOD CLIFF, N.J. -- Katerina Lallos, of Englewood Cliffs earned her Girl Scout Gold Award by raising awareness of Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge.
