Pleasantville School Board Tables Artificial Turf Bids PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pleasantville Board of Education has awarded bids on three capital projects but left the decision on field turf unresolved, according to the Northern Westchester Examiner.  Seven bids were received to install artificial field turf at all three schools, with the lowest bid coming in at about $1.4 million. Ossining Man Tried To Ditch Drugs, Police Say OSSINING, N.Y. -- An Ossining man is facing two drug-related felonies after he allegedly attempted to throw out heroin and crack-cocaine in front of state troopers on Monday, according to LoHud.com.  Cecil House, 37, was pulled over on Interstate 287 for alleged traffic violations and for having a blood alcohol content of 0.16, according to LoHud.com.  Upon his arrest, House was allegedly found in possession of crack-cocaine and heroin.
