Fairfield County Residents Warned About Massive IRS Phone Scam FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents are being warned about a new, nationwide phone scam involving callers posing as IRS agents, according to CBS News.  The scammers reportedly are calling up to 10,000 people every week and demanding payment for taxes.
