29 Suspects Charged In Latest Hudson Valley Heroin Bust ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Federal authorities charged 29 suspects in a heroin and oxycodone trafficking ring in Rockland County, according to LoHud.com. The charges come just months after local authorities charged 23 people in Westchester. A federal indictment released on Wednesday said 17 of the suspects are facing federal charges while the remaining 12 are facing state charges, LoHud.com reported. Heinz, Kraft Agree To Mega Merger WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The H.J. Heinz Company and Kraft Foods Group announced a merger that will create the third-largest food and beverage corporation in North America, according to multiple reports. South Salem Man Charged With Assault, Robbery After Beating Victim SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- A South Salem man was charged with robbery and assault after allegedly beating a man and stealing his wallet at the Oak Ridge Commons Condominium Complex on Route 123 on Monday night, according to New York State Police.  The 27-year-old victim was reportedly being dropped off at his home by a friend when Wyatt Gilchrist, 21, allegedly pulled the victim from the vehicle and began punching him.
