Yonkers Weighs Condemned Firehouse Options YONKERS, N.Y. -- Officials in the City of Yonkers are mulling over whether to rebuild or repair the condemned firehouse on School Street, according to News 12 Westchester.  The Rescue 1 and Ladder 71 firehouse units were relocated on Sunday after engineers determined the building was unsafe. Either option will likely cost the city millions.
