Spring Valley Man Nabbed In DWI Patrol By Ramapo Police RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police arrested a Spring Valley man during a DWI patrol on Saturday, Oct. 8, according to Ramapo Police Det. Lt. Mark Emma.Ivan Hernandez Escobar, 24, was stopped on Union Road in the Hillcrest area of town when officers determined that he was driving under the influence, police said. Escobar is being held pending arraignment in court.

Gas Main Struck, Leading To Road Closure In Suffern SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A gas main break during regular construction work on Chestnut  Street led to the road being closed for at least an  hour as crews worked to repair the line, according to Suffern Police.The utility crew struck the line on Lafayette Avenue at Chestnut.  Orange and Rockland Utilities have repaired the break and Lafayette Avenue is back open, police said.  Chestnut Street will remain closed for roadway improvements.

Dispute At Doctor's Office Leads To Spring Valley Woman's Arrest RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A dispute at a pediatrician's office between two women led to the recent arrest of a Spring Valley woman, according to Ramapo Police. Ramapo police responded to the office at 100 Route 59 on Monday, Sept. 26 for a domestic dispute. When officers arrived, office staff had separated the two people, but police found that one of those involved, Kimberly Carlise, 34, was wanted on an outstanding warrant, said Det. Lt. Mark Emma.
