Historian Discusses Ossining's Past At Cedar Manor OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining Village Historian Dana White regularly entertains residents of the Cedar Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with presentations on such topics as the Old Leatherman, Sing Sing Prison, and village landmarks. Cortlandt Takes Over Hudson Highlands Gateway Park CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The Town of Cortlandt recently officially closed on the 352 park area the Hudson Highlands Gateway Park, originally called “Hillpoint” by the previous owner Martin Ginsburg in the 1990’s. In 2000, Scenic Hudson and the town jointly purchased the property, with the town being the steward of the land and responsible for developing a trail to the summit, which offers a lovely view of the area and the Hudson River, said Cortlandt Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi.
