Possible Measles Exposure In Philadelphia Doctor's Office, Health Department Warns The Philadelphia Health Department is warning residents of a possible measles exposure in the city earlier this month. Anyone who was in the Jefferson Health building at 33 S. 9th St., formerly 833 Chestnut St., on Tuesday, Dec. 19 between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., may have been exposed to the virus, the city's health department said. New Covid-19 Variant Comprises 56% Of Thousands Of New Cases In New Jersey: CDC COVID-19 is on the rise in New Jersey with more than half of the cases being comprised of a new variant, according to data from the state and the Centers for Disease Control. New Jersey's COVID-19 information hub shows a steady increase in cases since early November, when there were nearly 1,100 cases reported across the state. For the week ending in Dec. 23, there were 4,100 cases reported — a slight drop from the week before where more than 5,000 cases were reported. Two Dead, Two Critical In Deptford Crash Two people were killed and two hospitalized in a single-car crash early Saturday, Dec. 23 in Deptford Township, police said. The crash involved just one car and happened on the 500 block of Fox Run Road, just before 12:40 a.m., Deptford Police Chief Joseph Smith said in a press release. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and two were hospitalized in critical condition, police said. The incident remains under investigation by the Deptford Township Police Traffic Safety Unit. Further information was expected to be released after proper notifications have been made.

Police ID 19-Year-Old Killed In Philadelphia Crash A 19-year-old man was killed and an 18-year-old man hospitalized in a Philadelphia crash early Saturday, Dec. 23, police said. Kyle Prince Joselin was heading north in a 2009 black Chevrolet Cobalt on the 10000 block of Academy Road when he lost control around 12:55 a.m., city police said. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, authorities said. Philadelphia Fire Department medics pronounced Joselin dead at the scene while his 18-year-old male passenger was hospitalized in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.

NJ's Jillian Schlueter Shared Heartbreaking Facebook Post Months Before Dying Of Cancer Jillian Schlueter, a nurse from Marlton, has died just four months after discovering the cancer she had been diagnosed with in 2021 had never left her body — 10 days shy of her 29th birthday. Jillian was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in May 2021, just two days before she was set to graduate from nursing school, her obituary says. The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, but in August 2022, she was cancer-free. Or so she thought. Marcus Brown, of Voorhees, is believed to have stabbed a the security guard who was trying to break up a fight between him and another man at the Chicken or the Egg on Route 70 in Marlton, around 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, Evesham police said. Family of 46-year-old Breedlove said the Newark resident died in his sleep at home on Sunday, Sept. 24, the outlet said. NYC Pizzeria Known For Chimichurri Pie Lands In Clifton A New York City pizzeria that landed in New Jersey last year is expanding in the Garden State. Wahizza is coming to Clifton. The pizzeria which originated in Washington Heights, boasts "high-quality artisan oven baked pizza," according to its website. It opened in Ridgefield Park in the last year, and has opened at 150 7th St., in Clifton, according to its Instagram page. Wahizza says its most popular pie is the chimichurri Dominican pizza.
