Pedestrian Accident Closes Route 80 In Sussex County A pedestrian crash closed a portion of Route 80 in Sussex County Wednesday, Sept. 20. Drivers Not Seriously Injured In Crash That Closed Garden State Parkway For Hours Two drivers suffered minor injuries in a crash that closed the Garden State Parkway for hours, authorities said. A Nissan and Volkswagon collided in the northbound lanes just before 8 p.m. near mile post 168.1 in Hillsdale, right past Demarest Farms on Wednesday, Sept. 20, according to witnesses and New Jersey State Police. Jersey Shore Hiker Collapses, Dies On Catskills Trail: Report A hiker from New Jersey complaining of chest discomfort and breathing problems collapsed and died while hiking in the Catskills last weekend, officials said.
