Details Released In 6-Hour Fairfax County Barricade
Police in Fairfax County have released some details in a six-hour barricade situation that ended with a man safely in custody. Officers were called to a home on the 4000 block of Park Chase Drive in Fair Oaks around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, for a report of a man armed with firearms threatening to harm himself. The man barricaded himself inside of a townhome with an elderly woman, so officers responded and tried to make contact with the man. Three men from Montgomery County have been arrested for their roles in trafficking and manufacturing ghost guns and suppressors, authorities said. $4.1M Fine For American Airlines Over Tarmac Delays — One At Reagan Airport
American Airlines has been slapped with a $4.1 million fine — the largest ever over tarmac delays — including one that happened at Reagan National Airport. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) on Monday, Aug. 28 fined American Airlines $4.1 million for violating federal statutes and the Department’s rule prohibiting tarmac delays of three hours or more on domestic flights, without providing passengers an opportunity to deplane.
