Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Backups On I-495 A multi-vehicle crash caused delays on I-495 in Fairfax County Tuesday, Aug. 29. The crash happened on the northbound side at mile marker 55.3 in Springfield. A mile of delays was being reported as of 7:40 a.m. The north right shoulder is closed. DWI Driver, 21, Leaves West Wildwood Pedestrian Critical In Middle Township Hit-Run: Police A 21-year-old Wildwood Crest man is facing multiple charges after a hit-and-run crash that left a 48-year-old pedestrian critical, police said. Elijah Bethel is believed to have struck the West Wildwood woman at the intersection of Route 47 and 5th Street in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, Middle Township police said. Deputy Feels Voltage Feet From Crash That Downed Live Wires In Stafford Nearly $50,000 in damages were caused by a tractor trailer crash that took down live wires in Stafford Monday, Aug. 28, authorities said. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. at Admiral Drive and Wilson Cove in Aquia Harbour. when the tractor trailer struck a power line, causing damage to the poles. Live wires fell across the vehicle, too. Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Telecommunicators and bystanders told the driver to remain in the truck until the power could be turned off. More Teens Charged In Botched Virginia Robbery That Left 2 Dead Two additional teenagers have been charged in a double homicide that police say was a drug-related robbery earlier this summer. A 17-year-old from Falls Church and an 18-year-old from Vienna, who was a 17-year-old at the time of the incident that killed Jonas Skinner and Braden Deahl, were arrested by Fairfax County police. The 17-year-old was charged with second-degree murder, felony murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and various weapons offenses. Soccer Game Assault: Metal Water Bottle Weapon Of Choice For Attacker In Virginia, Police Say A 46-year-old man was arrested for hitting another man in the head with a metal water bottle during a soccer game in northern Virginia, authorities said. Blerand Hoxha struck the victim in the head multiple times with the water bottle during a game at Hellwig Park on Saturday, Aug. 26 in Manassas, Prince William County police said. Hoxha then fled on foot while other attendees called police. Hoxha was found nearby by police and charged with malicious wounding. Death Investigation: 2 Found Dead In Virginia Home A death investigation is under way in Loudoun County after two people were found dead in a home. The unidentified couple was found during a welfare check on the 21700 block of Calamary Circle in Sterling, around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said. The names of the individuals, cause, and manner of death are not being released pending next of kin notification and Office of the Chief Medical Examiner findings. Woman Escapes Rapist From Internet Who Pushed Her Down Stairs: Fairfax County PD A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Fairfax County rape of a woman he'd met online, authorities said. Yeudy Saul Chavez Sandoval, of Kingstowne, lured the victim into an apartment on the 6000 block of Alexandria Avenue in Fort Hunt around 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, then pushed her down the stairs, county police said.
