Death Investigation Launched In Loudoun County Authorities were investigating a parking garage death in Loudoun County. The sheriff's office said only that there was no threat to the public in connection with the incident at the garage on Provincetown Drive near One Loudoun in Ashburn. Body Recovered From Lake Hopatcong New Jersey State Police divers recovered the body of an 80-year-old man from Lake Hopatcong following a boating accident earlier this week, authorities said. Edward Sikora, 80, of Upper Saddle River, was reported missing Monday, July 24, when his boat drifted into a dock on Thompson Lane in Hopatcong, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry. Searchers looked Monday in Henderson Cove, but ultimately found his body under the surface of the water on Tuesday, Curry said. The official cause of death is pending autopsy and the case remains under investigation.

Live Birds Seized From Passenger Coming From Dubai Into Dulles In VA US Customs and Border Protection seized two live birds from a woman arriving on a flight from Dubai to Dulles International Airport earlier this month, officials said. The UAE passenger had been keeping the birds inside an open cardboard box inside a plastic bag on July 16, UCBP said. The woman failed to notify airline gate attendants that she was carrying the birds onto the flight. CBP agriculture specialists met the flight as it arrived, secured the birds in a filtered crate, and took the birds to CBP’s agriculture quarantine inspections lab. Man Shoots Mom, Turns Gun On Self In Fairfax County (Developing) Police were at the scene of what appeared to be an attempted murder-suicide in Fairfax County Thursday, July 27. A man shot his mom and then shot himself at an apartment on the 6000 block of Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners, around 5:15 p.m., police said. Police ID Motorcyclists Killed In Route 18 Crash The two motorcyclists who were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Monday night, July 24 in Marlboro have been identified by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Evicted Shed Squatter Assaults 'Landlord' With Knife: Stafford Sheriff A 20-year-old woman who assaulted a man with a knife after he kicked her out of a shed she had been living in on his Stafford County property is in police custody, authorities said.
