Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Hot Afternoon For Car Fires Along Jersey Shore Vehicle fires appeared contagious late Tuesday.  There were four emergency calls in three hours in Burlington and Middlesex counties, authorities said. The first call, at 4:10 p.m. in Burlington County, involved a pickup truck, initial reports said. The fire spread from the truck to some grass at Magnolia and New Lisbon roads in Pemberton. Pedestrian Reported Struck By Truck Near South Jersey Wawa Police, firefighters and EMS crews were called to Route 206 in Burlington County on a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near a Wawa station, authorities said. The crash occurred about 1 p.m. on Tuesday on the 2300 block of U.S. Route 206 in Southampton, according to initial reports.  The pedestrian was an elderly man, and he was reportedly struck by a truck, according to an initial unconfirmed report.
