Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Brick PD: 38-Year-Old Woman Stabs Neighbors A 38-year-old woman stabbed two of her neighbors, authorities said. Candace Haynes of Brick cut the women with a knife and is charged with assault, Brick police said in a press statement on Tuesday. Police responded to 195 Sawmill Road about 2:30 a.m. on April 12 on a report of a fight involving three neighbors. The first victim sustained a stab wound to her neck and the second victim sustained a cut to her forearm, police said. Dead Seal Recovered On Sandy Hook Beach In Middletown The body of a young harbor seal was recovered at Sandy Hook Beach, authorities said.  The dead yearling seal washed up on the beach at the southern end of Plum Island in Middletown about 11:30 a.m. Friday, according to Bob Schoelkopf, director of New Jersey Marine Mammal Stranding Center. Troy Platt, a stranding technician, said the seal's body was too decomposed to conduct a necropsy and determine cause of death.
