Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Southern Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- High tide coupled with strong winds have prompted the National Weather Service to issue a coastal flood advisory for southern Fairfield County from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday morning.  Tides are expected to be up to 1 foot higher than normal, which could cause some of the most vulnerable coastal roads to flood.  Rain is also in the forecast with up to half an inch possible.  Partly sunny skies will return to the area on Wednesday with a high in the low 60s.

Stony Point Passes $15.1M Budget With Tax Decrease STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point officials voted to approve a $15.1 million budget that will feature a 1.01 percent property tax decrease on Wednesday, according to lohud.com.  Town Board members had originally expected to see property taxes for homeowners jump by 1.36 percent. The cut is expected to save the average homeowner about $45, lohud.com reported.  Stony Point officials were able to execute the tax cut by pulling funds from other capital projects.
