Route 7 Closures Begin Friday Night FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn.  – Route 7 will be closed to thru traffic between Route 35 and Route 102 from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday.The closure is the result of a bridge replacement and will require further disruptions in service on the road.  The detour routes are as follows:  Northbound Rt. 7 thru traffic will be detoured up Rt. 102 to Rt. 35 to Rt. 7 at its intersection with Rt. 35.  Southbound Rt. 7 thru traffic will be detoured up Rt. 35 to Rt. 102 to Rt. 7.Please allow additional time if traveling through Ridgefield during these dates and times.

Brien McMahon HS Promotes From Within For New Principal NORWALK, Conn. – Former Brein McMahon Housemaster Scott Hurwitz was approved as the school's new principal by the Norwalk Board of Education on Tuesday, according to The Hour.  The vote to approve Hurwitz was unanimous and was followed by a standing ovation. Shoplifting Call Ends In Arrest And Stamford Officer Injured STAMFORD, Conn. – A man referred to as a "repeat shoplifter" is facing charges of assaulting an officer after attempting to lift a box of cereal from a Stamford CVS on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.  A store employee reportedly watched  Bryant Irby, 27, attempt to leave the story without paying for the cereal. Dumont Parents Fight For Baby With Rare Seizure Disorder DUMONT, N.J. — Two Dumont parents are asking the community to help their daughter battle a rare seizure disorder.  Makayla Nunez, who is only 6-months-old, was diagnosed with  Ohtahara Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy in May. She is currently on medication to help abate her seizures.  Makayla's father, Mario, started a GoFundMe to help pay for Makayla's treatment.
