Norwalk PAWS Seeks Homes For 20 'Shelter Veterans' NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Paws will host a special Memorial Day Weekend event aimed at finding homes for about 20 cats and dogs who are "shelter veterans."The three-day adoption special will allow interested pet parents to pick their price on select dogs and cats who have spent extended time in the shelter.  Richie, a 2-year-old foxhound mix is one dog who is part of the special. Shelton's Brownson House Reopens After Water Damage Repairs SHELTON, Conn. – The Shelton Historical Center reopened the Brownson House on Sunday after it had been closed for repairs of water damage. Members of the Huntington Fire company who helped remediate the rainwater and save artifacts in the home were on hand for the grand reopening. The Brownson House was built in Shelton between 1820 and 1825. The Historical Society bought the home in 1971 and moved it to its current location at Ripton Road and Cloverdale Avenue.

Mistress-Turned-Extortionist Of Darien's Brian Cashman Seized By ICE DARIEN, Conn. — The former mistress and extortionist of Darien resident and Yankee General Manager Brian Cashman was detained by Immigration and Customs agents on Tuesday, according to the New York Daily News.  Louise Meanwell, 41, is a British-born former Citibank vice president who pleaded guilty to several felony and misdemeanor counts stemming from blackmailing Cashman regarding their affair, the Daily News said.  Meanwell is currently locked up in Hudson County Correctional Facility in New Jersey.
