Sikorsky To Provide Refurbished Black Hawk Helicopters To Afghanistan STRATFORD, Conn – Stratford's Sikorsky will give 159 refurbished Black Hawk helicopters to Afghanistan's special forces in an effort to bolster the country's air force, according to the Military Times.  The 159 units will be delivered over four years with the first batch to arrive in 21 months, the Military Times said.  Once the delivery is complete, it will nearly double the compliment of helicopters, the Military Times reported.  Click here to read the Military Times article.

Work On New Haven Line’s Catenary System Inches Toward Completion FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Work to replace the catenary system along the New Haven Line is entering its final phases and is expected to be complete by the middle of 2018. The State of Connecticut does not allow third rail operations, so trains are powered by overhead wire called catenary, like the kind once seen on trolley cars.
