Authorities Seize $30 Million In Heroin In Yonkers, Bronx YONKERS, N.Y. -- Two men were arraigned on drug charges on Sunday after State and New York City authorities seized approximately 141pounds of heroin during a bust in Yonkers and sections of the Bronx, according to LoHud.com.  Ramon Rivas and Jose Rodriguez were both charged with counts of first and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after authorities found the heroin, valued at approximately $30 million, spread across three locations, LoHud.com said.  The drugs were found in a Jeep Cherokee, a Bronx apartment and a Yonkers storage facility. Joyce Mitchell, Woman Who Aided In Prison Break, Sentenced PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- Joyce Mitchell, the woman who helped two convicted murderers escape from an upstate New York prison, was sentenced to up to seven years in prison on Monday, according to reports. Mitchell admitted to smuggling hacksaw blades, chisels, a punch tool and a screwdriver into the prison for David Sweat and Richard Matt. The subsequent manhunt cost New York State $23 million in overtime costs alone, WPTZ.com reported.  Authorities shot and killed Matt during the manhunt on June 26. Yorktown Resident Charged With Felony Burglary YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown man was charged with felony burglary on Thursday, according to Yorktown Police.  Ozar Khan, 28, allegedly broke into a home on Deer Street at approximately 12:23 a.m. Khan was confronted by the homeowner who unsuccessfully attempted to restrain the suspect, police said.  Khan allegedly fled the scene, but was later questioned by authorities who were searching the neighborhood, police said.  Khan was subsequently arrested and charged with forcibly entering a home with the intent to steal money.
