Yorktown Motorcyclist Injured After Rear-Ending Pickup Truck YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown man sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries due to a motorcycle accident on Route 28 in Ulster County on Sunday, according to the Daily Freeman.   Wayne C. Doerr, 54, suffered head and facial injuries after rear-ending a pickup truck while riding his 2008 Harley Davidson. Residents Voice Concern Over Dangerous Valhalla Intersection VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Valhalla residents are crying out for increased safety measures at a busy Valhalla intersection where a teacher's aide was struck and killed by a vehicle earlier this month, according to News 12 Westchester.  The death of Brittany Mastropolo at the intersection of of Columbus Avenue and Cambridge Street prompted Mount Pleasant officials to add a bus stop downtown to reduce the number of children crossing at the intersection. Local Jobs Decline In Dutchess But Hudson Valley Region Continues To Grow DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Jobs in the Dutchess-Putnam area declined in the most recent state Department of Labor report, but the Hudson Valley region saw the market grow, according to the Pougkeepsie Journal.  The Dutchess-Putnam statistical area fell versus the same period last year with the loss of 300 government jobs, but the private sector was able to gain 100 new jobs, the Pougkeepsie Journal said.  The statistical area's decline stands in contrast to the Hudson Valley region as a whole, which gained 13,100 jobs and grew 1.8 percent, The Poughkeepsie Journal reported.  Click here to re…
