A&P Cuts Severance Pay To Laid Off Employees MONTVALE, N.J. -- Montvale-ased A&P will cut the serverance pay to laid off workers by nearly half after a ruling by a U.S. Bankruptcy judge, according to northjersey.com. The grocery store, which is scheduled to shutter 25 stores was contractually obligated to pay laid off workers $300 for each year of service.
