Heat Wave Taking Hold In Armonk WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Potentially dangerous heat and oppressive humidity will linger in Westchester County through the rest of the week and the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.  Wednesday is expected to be the warmest day of the week with sunny skies, light winds and temperatures in the low 90s.  Thursday will be slightly cooler with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Expect highs to be around 87 degrees. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will all be very similar with abundant sun and temperatures in the high 80s.
