Horace Greeley Ranks Among Nation's Top 50 Smartest Public High Schools CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Horace Greeley in Chappaqua was ranked the 17th smartest public high school in the country in a recent report, according to Business Insider. Education research website Niche compiled information based on standardized test scores, the quality of college graduates attend, AP Class enrollment, graduation rates and state proficiency exams, Business Insider said. Greeley, which was the highest ranking high school in Westchester County, boasted a composite SAT score range of 1980-2010 and has 18 AP classes for students to choose from. Rye Ranks Among Nation's Smartest Public High Schools RYE, N.Y. -- Rye High School was ranked the 25th-smartest public high school in the country in a recent report, according to Business Insider. Education research website Niche compiled information based on standardized test scores, the quality of college graduates attend, AP class enrollment, graduation rates and state proficiency exams, Business Insider said. Yonkers Blaze Traced To Extension Cord Under Mattress YONKERS, N.Y. -- An extension cord under a mattress is the likely cause of a Yonkers apartment fire that displaced two dozen people on Sunday, according to News 12 Westchester. Men Charged In Two-State Robbery Spree That Includes Cortlandt YONKERS, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged two Yonkers men in connection with several armed robberies, including a gas station in Cortlandt, according to authorities. Michael Caccavale, 35, was arrested following a search in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan on Thursday. Caccavale was detained and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail, police said. Nicholas Fiore, 34, was arrested following a traffic stop conducted in Yonkers on Monday. Chappaqua's Clinton Signs Lease For Campaign Headquarters, Report Says CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua resident Hillary Clinton has reportedly signed a lease for a presidential campaign headquarters in Brooklyn, according to politico.com.
