State Police Step Up DWI Enforcement In Putnam For St. Patrick's Day PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police announced DWI enforcements will be increased over St. Patrick's Day weekend in Putnam County. Owner Killed In Fire At South Salem Auto Repair Shop This story has been updated with additional information. SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The owner of South Salem Auto Repair was killed when the engine compartment of a vehicle he was working on caught fire on Wednesday, according to New York State Police. James J. Foreclosure Awaits At Yonkers Luxury Apartments YONKERS, N.Y. -- The long beleaguered Monarch luxury apartment complex is facing multiple lawsuits and possible foreclosure as complications relating to the sale of the building continue to mount, according to LoHud.com.
