Fairfield Student Makes Goodwin College Dean's List For Fall FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Emmanuel Colon of Fairfield has earned a spot on the Goodwin College Dean's List for the Fall 2014. Colon  is one of 943 students to make the Dean's List, reserved for those who demonstrate great academic performance. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

Carmel Woman, 24, Charged With Unlicensed Operation In Route 6 Stop CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Putnam County Sheriffs Department charged a Carmel woman with driving with a suspended license on Friday, Feb. 20, according to officials. Alexandra M. Albano-Richardson, 24, was pulled over for allegedly committing traffic violations on Route 6. Investigation revealed that Albano-Richardson had a suspended license, police said.  Albano-Richardson was charged with third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23, police said.

American Express Increasing Annual Rates For One Million Customers PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Credit Card company American Express announced it will raise annual rates on more than one million customers, according to Business Insider.  AmEx sent letters to customers who are currently paying well-below market rates.
