Metro-North Conductors Will Soon Have Credit Card Devices PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Metro-North riders will soon be able to purchase on-board tickets with credit and debit cards by mid-April.  The expansion of the new Ticket Issuing Machines (TIMs) is being implemented following a successful pilot program on the Danbury and Wassaic branches.  The credit card option will be available on all three major lines, but the increased on-board fare will still apply.

Putnam Valley Man Charged With Felony DWI In Route 202 Stop PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Putnam Valley man with driving while intoxicated in Peekskill on Friday, Feb. 20, according to officials.  Troopers were dispatched to help Peekskill authorities with a disabled vehicle on State Route 202. Kevin J. McMullen, 44, was allegedly sleeping inside the vehicle when police arrived, officials said.  After subsequent investigation, authorities charged McMullen with felony driving while intoxicated due to a previous conviction in 2007, police said.  McMullen is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Court on March 2, police said.…
