Lake Carmel Woman Sets Up Fund For Disabled Former Neighbor Found Dead LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. -- The neighbor of a developmentally disabled woman who was found dead near home Friday night has set up an online fundraiser in an effort to help pay for funeral costs.  Karen Goos, 53, was discovered unresponsive by authorities near her Barret Hill Road home after her mother reported her missing.  Neighbor Beth Haney Roche set up the gofundme.com account to help Goss' mother pay for funeral expenses. Developer Proposes New Luxury Home Development In Bedford BEDFORD, N.Y. -- A developer is looking to build a 79-home luxury development in Bedford, according to LoHud.com.  The new units will be aimed at empty-nesters and will be located east of Interstate 684 near the A&P Shopping Center, LoHud.com reported.  The development will feature a mix of single-family and two-family units, as well as a working farm and clubhouse with gym.
