Canute Kelly, 87, Norwalk Resident NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Canute Kelly passed away Sunday, Feb. 15. He was 87.  Kelly is survived by his wife, Inez Simon-Kelly; two sisters, Rose Kelly-Smith of Chicago and Dorrette Kelly-Gray of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one brother, Simon Kelly of Norwalk; and a host of nephews, other family members and friends. A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord St., South Norwalk. Friends may greet the family at 10 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting plants.

Inez Williams, 86, Bridgeport Resident BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Inez Williams of Bridgeport passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 86. Williams was born in Marion, Fla., on May 11, 1928, to the late Frank Williams and Bertha Keyes. Williams was the first black woman driver to work and retire from the CT Transit in Stamford. She was also a school bus driver for the Norwalk, Stamford and Bridgeport public school systems.
