The Stratford EMS is expected to answer approximately 7,000 calls by the close of 2015.  The new ambulance, designated “804," cost $103,000, but was funded entirely through the EMS Enterprise Fund and will cost tax-payers nothing. Bergen County Habitat For Humanity Raises Money By Wrapping Gifts BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -Members New Jersey American Society of Safety Engineers to wrap presents at shopping centers in the area to raise money for the Bergen County Habitat for Humanity chapter. Groups of ASSE members and their families donated their time to help wrap holiday gifts at the Bergen Town Center and the Riverside Square Mall to raise money for the local nonprofit organization.  NJ ASSE also made a $500 donation to help support Habitat for Humanity's cause.  Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County was established in 1994 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.

Developer Settles Multi-Million Dollar Garfield Case GARFIELD, N.J. -- A former New Jersey Developer reached a settlement to avoid a multi-million dollar foreclosure-related lawsuit in connection to a Garfield storage facility, according to NorthJersey.com. Anthony V. Pugliese, 68, and the company he created, Safe and Secure Self Storage LLC., was renting the storage facility located on Lanza Ave. When the mortgage went into foreclosure in 2004, a court-appointed receiver then filed suit against Safe and Secure Self Storage, saying it owed $9.5 million in back rent that would have gone to pay the $15 million owed for the mortgage, NorthJersey.c…
