Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Mahwah The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Bergen and Passaic Counties in anticipation of the first storm of the season on Monday night into Tuesday.  A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to begin Monday night across the region and last into Tuesday. The advisory will run from 8 p.m. through 6 p.m.  Weather officials are alerting residents to be ready for slippery roadways and sidewalks, with the main threat being to elevated surfaces and higher elevations.
