Stamford Man Gets 1 Year In Jail For Beating Homeless Man STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man was sentenced to one year in jail for beating a homeless man with a sock full of rocks, according to the Stamford Advocate.  Deron Ladson, 31, and his alleged accomplice, Robert Lee Keitt, 36, allegedly beat the 57-year-old victim last November outside of his van because of a dispute that took place the previous week, the Stamford Advocate reported.  Keitt's case is still pending, the Stamford Advocate said. Scarsdale Golfer's Amazing Shot Gets National Attention SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale senior James Nicholas is garnering national attention for an incredible golf shot out of a water hazard that helped him secure the New York State Championship. Golf Digest featured a video of Nicholas' shot out of a pond and onto the 17th green at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University. Nicholas was able to scramble and save bogey after the shot. Former Fairfield Teacher Pleads Guilty In Student Sex Case FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A former Fairfield Ludlowe High School teacher pleaded guilty on Friday to having a sexual relationship with a female student, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
